I had a 4-night stay, and I have no complaints. An Uber from Holiday Inn Las Tablas to Barajas Airport was about 21 Euros, and it took 20 minutes without traffic (holiday weekend and traffic was dead), so plan accordingly. There is a small store within a 5-minute walk where you can get items such as water, snacks, and drinks on Calle De Isabel Colbrand. The room was very comfortable, it featured a queen bed, a TV, a decent size bathroom with a hair dryer, and it also had orange-ginger soap, body soap, and shampoo. Just be careful not to spill water on the bathroom floor; it gets slippery. There is a desk, a chair, a single couch, and windows you can open and get fresh air. The AC unit worked fine; everything was spotless. You will also find a mini-fridge with small glass-bottle cokes, juices, beer, a bag of peanuts, and a chocolate bar (only charged if taken). There is a vending machine in the lobby where you can also buy can drinks (it tasks 5-10 euro bills and coins). I paid 1.5 Euros for one and .60 for another (go figure). Although I did not eat at the hotel, the menu seemed to offer a variety of food. An Uber ride to the Center of Madrid cost me 25-30 Euros, and it took me about 25 minutes to/from the City Center area.

We stayed in room 617, a double. The room was really clean and housekeeping great, I sleep in, yet the room was spotless and bed made regardless of the time I left it each day. The room has two layers of curtains, the inside being black outs with Velcro to block light. This is great if you have vampire tendencies. There is a hairdryer, mini-bar, kettle, iron and safe, plus a luggage rack. The bed is a good size for 2 and spotless. The shower has two heads, one a monsoon, both have good pressure and temperature options. It was chilly outside and the heat unit was easy to use and worked well. The area is quiet at night. All the staff were helpful and professional, reception, bar and restaurant. Sara on reception helped us with questions about airport taxis and check out. We used the official white taxis with red stripe and it was less than €30 to the airport after checking out. We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was fresh, tasty and good value. We used the bar and cafe & felt welcome. The hotel is located about 20km from the centre, we bought a travel card for the number of days in Madrid. The card covers travel on the bus, tram (called light rail), metro and overground trains. There are different ways to get to Grand Via this way, I used the 175 bus to Plaza de Castilla then Metro line 1. You can also get the tram from Las Tablas to pick up the Metro further down. Note that Tres Olivos metro stop does not have platform connection. There is a Mercadona store 100m away and a few restaurants in the area. Overall, a good hotel.

This hotel is very close to our office, which is why we use it so much, but it is very nice. Well kept, very clean and well equipped. Not central to Madrid, but only about 20 minutes away. The breakfast is good. My only disappointment about this hotel is the bar, which closes much too early for a serious business hotel. There isn't much to do around it, so being open beyond 23.00 is a must if you want to keep the conversation going with who you are with, in this case my team. The bar staff were just not interested and clearly wanted to be somewhere else. Why they can't support this from the 24 hour reception desk, I don't understand...having worked in hospitality myself, this is not a good expeience.

“Great Staff!”

It's a decent hotel with all basic facilities you have in any business hotel. I was there for 5 nights and had a comfortable stay. Staff were extremely helpful - starting from early check-in to helping in navigating the city map, they were very helpful!
