There were 6 of us, Italian teachers, because we had 77 students having a language course (2 week) in Bournemouth. The price was very good too. We appreciated the position, your breakfast and the reception service (Rebecca was great!). For our Italian standard the only problem was that you don’t clean the bedroom regularly but only when we ask for…sometimes you forgot too

“Concert visit”

I booked to stay here as it was the nearest affordable place for a concert at the o2 Academy (which is in Boscombe not Bournemouth as they call it!!) . it was raining & as we arrived 40 minutes before the 3pm check in time we were told we couldn't check in unless we paid an extra £10 for early ch... more

I booked to stay here as it was the nearest affordable place for a concert at the o2 Academy (which is in Boscombe not Bournemouth as they call it!!) . it was raining & as we arrived 40 minutes before the 3pm check in time we were told we couldn't check in unless we paid an extra £10 for early check in! For 40 minutes! I said no & we returned later on as we thought that was a con! There are bus stops nearby as the hotel is in-between Bournemouth & Boscombe (20 min walk from train station) which was handy as it's quite a walk to the o2 Academy. Our room was nice especially as it had french doors onto a balcony - they were open so the room was chilly- but the doors have a restrictor so you cannot go outside & the outside of the windows needed cleaning. The room & bathrooms were clean except for the stain on the curtains near the kettle that looked like a coffee had been spilt on them. Only 2 tea bags which we thought was rather mean and we ran out of toilet roll as there wasn't much provided - so asked for more. The shower water wasn't as hot as I would like it and the bath was very short & shallow. Breakfast was ok but things weren't replenished that quickly and my partner said the meat sausages were horrible but I liked having veggie ones provided once fresh were bought out as the remainder were dried out. When I got back from the concert at night there was a large group of loud guests all standing outside the main doors all smoking & clearly drunk who I thought should've been asked to move along by staff as they were a nuisance. I would stay again if I go to that area. and the staff were nice.
