I have just stayed at this apart/hotel and really enjoyed the experience. I would highly recommend it whether you are in London for a weekend or you are there for longer as a holiday or working. We had booked a deluxe room but because these were being refurbished we were upgraded to a one-bedroom apartment, which was spotless and very well equipped. Although these too are being refurbished at the end of the summer, we were delighted with ours, a real home from home with everything you could need. The staff on reception were all excellent and gave a wonderful 'Service with a Smile'.

We used to love this hotel and have stayed here a few times now. Super safe area, easy to get around (plenty of cabs, right near a tube, easy walk to most central places) and easy to find. We come for business but travel as a family, so this is the perfect location as it’s safe, central and pretty quiet. The hotel itself is great - affordable yet smart, the rooms are lovely (the little kitchen and sofa bed means it’s far better for families than having to either squeeze into one room or pay for two yet not be together). Good toiletries too, and a bath tub makes it ideal for kids after a long day. Do note the new sofa beds are essentially two singles, with a metal bar down the middle, so not a double you can snuggle together in the middle...! We put cushions down the middle and it was fine for our children, but wouldn’t be ideal for a couple or younger children. Breakfast is pretty good - continental breakfast - the coffee is excellent. My children loved the flavoured milks! On our most recent visit we were left a bottle of Prosecco and box of chocolates as we arrived, which was much appreciated after travelling all day! The staff are friendly and helpful. Safe parking under the hotel is very handy - make sure you pay the Congestion Charge! Also, there’s a Pizza Express literally next door, a Waitrose, Pret, and Superdrug opposite, so literally everything you need within one minute. The only issue for us now is that the sofa beds are very uncomfortable - only suitable for one child but not if they’re too young (they’ll fall down the middle or in the sharp metal bits) or too tall. We may stay again but we’ll have to get two rooms, which makes it expensive and defeats the purpose of having a little apartment.

I was very impressed by the location of the hotel and grateful that the staff allowed me to check in three hours early on arrival. I was aware that the rooms are undergoing renovation and was told that there would be no hot water available during the hours of 8-5 during one day of my 5-night stay. The room was large, if a little tired and sparse, with no shampoo/shower gel or hairdryer provided in the bathroom. The small kitchenette was an excellent bonus for me, as I prefer to organise my own food when travelling. The benefits of the room were let down by the lack of soundproofing - on 3 of 4 nights, I found it difficult to get to sleep and was woken up 2-3 times. The ambient noise from adjacent guest rooms and activity in the corridor is enough to disrupt sleep, but especially so when combined with ignorant fellow guests. (To the hotel's credit, the staff did make efforts to stop the late night partying and playing of music, but this isn't ideal when you are on a business visit and have early meetings and presentations!) This was the main factor in my decision to check out early. I probably wouldn't choose to stay here again unless there were no other convenient options in the area for future business trips.
