“Excellent staff”
We stayed in the Mortimer room which had a beautiful view of York Minster. This is a very walkable location. There is an old world feel to Grey’s Court.The best thing about the property is the staff. “Beautiful garden, lovely lunch, friendly staff.”
Happened across this on a walk around York City walls - a beautiful garden with inviting seating called to us ! Staff were most welcoming and friendly and served us a fine lunch sandwiches, bagels and glasses of wine. Hope to visit again for a longer duration.

“Looking for something super special? This is it!”
What a special hotel we found in Gray's Court. We stayed in the Edwards Room, a split level room with beautiful en suite. The copper bath was the highlight, with a TV to watch whilst bathing. “Wonderful historic hotel”
Wonderful nights stay at Grays Court Hotel, lovely room, exceptional surroundings, beautiful gardens and the staff were not only very attentive but genuinely friendly and could not do enough for you, we even met the owners dog in the gardens who was also gorgeous! we'll definitely be back.
