We were bringing my daughter back to school at The University of Alabama and coming from Massachusetts in January. After driving almost 12 hours we arrived, and I must say this property was very nice. Very clean pretty room, girl was very nice at check in. we dined out that night and were pleasantly surprised when we came back that there was a bar open. Very nice touch to be able to get a drink, first SpringHill I have been in with a bar. We also stayed again on our way back from Alabama. Again, everything was great. We were trying to decide where to eat when we checked in and saw you had a restaurant open for dinner. We decided to stay and eat there honestly not expecting much. We sat at the bar and had Linda wait on us. Linda was very sweet and so attentive. The food was really good, and the service was top notch. Checked out the next morning after having a great breakfast. You guys are doing a great job. totally loved your property.

“Such a Pretty Hotel...Such Terrible Sleep”

We booked this hotel for a Volleyball tournament in Roanoke. It is a really beautiful SpringHill. Clean -- including the little dipping pool area -- and seemingly new. The breakfast area was well cared for and included the usual fare: eggs, sausage and/or bacon, carbs in the form of potatoes, pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, breads and pastries. There were also apples, bananas, refrigerated dole fruit cups, yogurt, etc. They even had oatmilk as part of the creamer options, and the coffee was pretty decent. Hard boiled eggs were avilable *in their shell*, which was a nice upgrade from pre-peeled eggs that sit in some sort of preservative/sour-ish water at most other hotels. And we appreciated their signage call-outs of gluten-free options for those who asked... muffins, bagel, etc. There was a chilled, fruit-infused water pitcher in the lobby area at all times, and -- unusual for a SpringHill -- a little bar with a bartender. And the dining area was a nice size. It was an appealing place to hang out and gather over takeout dinner with friends. And the hotel's location, in general, was within short driving distance of loads of stores and restaurants. Due to elite status, we were upgraded from a Studio to a 1BR -- room 311 (simultaneously a handicapable-access room) -- which came with loads of much-appreciated space. The hotel has 5 floors, I believe, and our room faced what looked to be a railyard, so we worried about noise from above, and outside noise, but that was not a problem at all, thankfully. The room's fridge was bigger than the typical cube you get in most hotels, which was also a bonus. Unfortunately, the mattresses were quite cheap and entirely out of character with the rest of the lovely hotel. Our King-sized, creaky, spring-based bed had endless transfer noise from any tossing and turning -- we were constantly waking each other up -- with *any* movement. And I was excited about the trundle-style sofa bed, assuming the mattress would be more comfortable for our Athlete than a traditional sofabed, where the mattress folds... but it was so thin that you could feel the wooden base through the mattress against your shoulder, hip, or behind. And, while my experience with trundle beds was that they sort of lifted from the ground, this one, did not. It was like sleeping in an underbed storage compartment... so bad, in fact, that our Athlete crawled into the King with us... only adding to further the squeaking throughout the night. None of us slept well, over the two nights we stayed. : ( We also found that the wall-attached shower dispensers had not likely been checked for replacement or replenishment in quite some time -- we discovered the shampoo bottle was empty when our Athlete was already in the middle of her shower. And the bathroom had zero counter space -- I imagine an accommodation for wheelchairs, but a little tricky for the three of us, nonetheless. We moved the towels out of the sink-surrounding cubbies, to find someplace to store our toiletries. The place was lovely... and convenient... but the mattresses were so bad, I couldn't stay there again.

“Great stay except the bartender”

My husband and I thought this was a pretty good stay. We were on a road trip so we stayed between traveling between Shenandoah to the Great Smoky Mountains. The room was great; everything was clean which we appreciated. It is is typical SpringHill if you are familiar with the brand. We did not enjoy the restaurant . The food was great, and our drinks were fine too. The issue was the bartender/server. She was really not welcoming and made us really uncomfortable. As a note, there were a handful of other patrons so steady, not overwhelmed, and we went around 7pm so not late at all. We wanted to get another drink, but based on how she was acting towards us, we decided against it. I really hope she becomes more hospitable towards customers.
