There are several Hilton properties in the Columbus/Easton area -- I've stayed at three of them and the Hampton Inn gave me the best experience. My room (studio suite) was ready when promised and was spotless. The studio suites have mini-fridges and microwaves so I could bring my dinner to the room and heat it up. They have a pool and fitness room; both were well-appointed and spotless but I didn't take advantage of those amenities. The breakfast is typical Hampton Inn fare -- egg dish, potatoes, meat, waffle maker, breads, fruit, yogurt, cereal -- it was better than some Hampton Inns I've stayed at. The attendant was constantly replenishing items, so that nothing was out so long it went stale. The breakfast area was also spotless even with many hotel guests using it. The staff were also excellent. The check-in clerk was swamped, trying to make sure rooms were available for arriving guests (they had been absolutely full and were still cleaning late in the afternoon); I witnessed his very diplomatic treatment of rather obnoxious guests. The front desk clerk on duty when I checked out was also pleasant. The location of this property is great. It's a very short distance off the I-270 highway. There are many restaurants within a short drive (walking might not be a good idea due to busy streets). There are also grocery stores and other shopping nearby. It's about a 15-20 minute drive to the airport if you hit all the red lights. The only thing keeping me from giving this Hampton Inn five stars is that they don't have a hot tub. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to others.

“Poor breakfast experience”

Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was poor due to many things being empty at 8:30, and not many being refilled, despite breakfast ending at 10:00. Also the hand sanitizer dispensers were all empty 😐. Staff were ok, but not overly friendly or helpful.

I am rating this location a 3 out of 5. The reason for this is the over abundance of trash and debris around the hotel. I am rating this location a 3 out of 5. The reason for this is the over abundance of trash and debris around the hotel. Columbus is a large city but there is no excuse for the amount of trash on and around the premises. I alerted the front desk and was told that they pay for the trash to be picked up. That clearly doesn’t happen. I personally picked a large amount of trash. There are also Wal Mart shopping carts and mattresses on the property.
