“Location and friendly staff”
This hotel is a bit outdated but it covered all necessities just great. Rooms were clean, front desk was very friendly and helpful. Location is fantastic. For being so close to Times squares i really didn't have any problems sleeping. I would definitely stay here again whenever I visit NYC.

Clean rooms Excellent friendly kind wonderful staff who make your stay superb. Located in the heart of the city Easy to walk anywhere. Restaurants next door Theater district 2 blocks away. Individual heating and air conditioning in rooms. Free WiFi

“Another great stay at this wonderful hotel with the best staff ever!!!”
Once again my stay at St. James was simply great! The staff is incredibly nice and helpful (a loud shout out to my hero Joey :-) ), the location is gorgeous (everything right on the doorstep, only 2 minutes away from Times Square - if you walk slow), and the price is very, very reasonable! “Visiting NYC”
We reserved a room for one night to go to a play for my husband's 60th birthday. When we had a charcuterie board and balloons delivered, the front desk upgraded our room at no charge! “Reason price and less than a block from Times Square. But CONSTRUCTION noise all day.”
I’ve stayed here several times. It’s a very basic hotel that has reasonable prices and great location for shows. But there was construction every work day starting at 8am. I was awakened by drilling, sawing and hammering each day. Check on the status of the work before booking.
