“Down below where the fire's glowing”
"Any city that doesn't have a Tenderloin isn't a city at all." This place is fantastic. It is effortlessly cool. “Easy and Friendly”
Great, friendly, helpful staff and very chill grounds make this a good destination for most travelers. As with most hotel/motels of a certain age, sounds can travel decently room to room, but with some ear plugs it's not a problem. Pool area is safe and well located. “Great place”
The coolest hotel I've ever stayed in - and i've been to Palm Springs! The rock n roll aesthetic was enjoyable. I felt safe, comfortable. Next time I return to SF, The Phoenix will be on my list of potential places to stay.

“Super friendly staff”
Staff were super friendly and the hotel has a cool vibe. I also enjoyed my burger and fries at their restaurant. My room was a bit dirty and I was not too sure I was comfortable with the blood stains on my shower curtain and on my bed.
