Stayed for 1 night but would absolutely come back again. The property is beautiful and all indoor plants are meticulously kept. We stayed in the key west section facing the conservatory - the room was well maintained and crib was promptly brought to the room. The pool area is nice too, lots of seating but there was a line to get in the early afternoon. We ate at the steakhouse and it was great! The ambiance was perfect as was the food - we had the gnocchi, bone marrow and steak with au gratin potatoes. The kids enjoyed their steak and pasta as well. The restaurant by the pool had a good poke salad and lobster roll. For the downsides: - the front desk said we’d get a text message when our room was ready but we never got one. - the self parking is quite confusing, we ended up parking at the convention center and it was a bit of a walk to the main property. - the only breakfast restaurant is extremely expensive. It was completely empty so if it was reasonably priced for a buffet it would have been nice so we could eat on the property and not have to drive around

“Great resort with a couple of issues in our stay”

Amazing resort, will definitely be back. Love the gators and the beautiful scenery, the lovely scent in the lobby area, water park, etc. Check in was a disappointment. As lifetime platinum elite members, we stood in the elite check in line for 15 minutes behind only one other guest. We would’ve moved to the regular line but by the time we realized this would be a while, that line had grown by a handful of people. When the employee, Karina, finally finished with the guest in front of us, we stepped up to the desk, only for her to very curtly say “I’ll be with you in a minute”, without any sorry for the wait or even looking up at us. She proceeded to check us in, telling us no we could not have a late check out (which we always get as platinum members). Funny, because when we came down to the desk later and got someone else we were promptly given a late check out. Karina acted as if we were an inconvenience to her the whole time. The only other thing is that our rate was $254. With valet parking (for a total of 15 hours), resort fees and taxes, our final rate was $430! Love the Gaylord atmosphere and will return, but hope that check in will be a more pleasant experience.

“Restaurant exlcuded”

Stayed here for a week on business. Resort and people were very nice. They host large conventions and do a good job. They do however reserve their restaurants to the convention guests and exlude their regular guests from having anywhere to eat on site. This is not good business.

We stayed at Gaylord Palms over a quick overnight stay in Orlando. We have stayed here a few times before. *The Pros* As always the atrium is amazing and well kept. Rooms were a bit aged but they do their best to keep them in good condition. Check-in went well but should have used the general check-in desk as the "Elite Check-in" desk was much slower. I am a Platinum Bonvoy member so they kindly gave me an option on room type as there was some availability. The food we had were very tasty. All the employees (with exception of one) were very professional and quick to serve your needs for anything requested. Poolside service was fantastic and Food was very tasty but a bit pricey. They honored a late 4pm check-out which is always nice. The Lazy River is not so lazy but is very fun. *The Cons* The Elite Bonvoy "gift" is an automatic 1,000 points. There is NO option for F&B Voucher or Breakfast Buffet like they used to offer when we stay there a few years back. This is a Con that will deter us from staying here vs. many other Marriott resorts in the Disney World offer that offer Breakfast for free. The fact that they just took this away is just frustrating and speaks more to the Gaylord Nickel and Dime model. Parking is $38 self or $50 valet. We had a long day so opted for Valet. Took about 5-10 minutes from someone at valet to come to our car but they eventually did. Our server at breakfast was not attentive to us at all. Drinks went dry, coffee went cold, and empty plates remained on the table. It's buffet so not a huge deal but it was pretty bad service. Everything is a little nickel and dimey but that is to be expected unfortunately. I might stay here again if it's a better deal to offset the lack of F&B Voucher or any kind. Otherwise I'd recommend the Swan/Dolphin resorts, JW Marriott, or World Center Marriott.
