Quirky, unique hotel with many authentic features. Clean and interestingly furnished, fascinating maze of tunnels, courtyards and stairs. Our room was tiny with a very narrow bathroom shower and loo. We are both tall so didn’t fit in to loo and shower but this was funny and the marble and fittings were beautiful. More then two nights would have worn thin. Staff efficient and helpful, great location
A friend and I used the Hotel Casas de la Juderia as a centre for exploring Seville and were amazed at the character and location of the hotel, both of which were exceptional. Yes, there were some faults, the most significant of which was its incredible complexity (but that's only to be expected in a building which incorporates at least 20 old houses. It certainly conveyed character, which was enhanced by the construction of a mock-Roman catacomb in the tunnel connecting various areas, but it did make getting around rather tedious especially as WiFi was only available in one room, a long way from ours. In addition, all those stone stairs were very noisy indeed (as were some of the staff). The breakfasts were very good but VERY expensive. Still, one goes on vacation for something different, so I'll stick with my four star rating!
Seville was our second stop on our trip, after Mardrid. We arrived at the hotel via cab from the train station. Its centrally located within the old part of town, within walking distance to Seville Cathedral and other historical and cultural landmarks. Check in was smooth. staff was friendly and ushered us to our room. It was a long way though, through underground passage like a maze. Due to our luggage, we had to take the lift down to the passage way and then walk through some passages and then into another lift up to another level to our rooms. To get out to the street,we had to reverse the journey. The room was very spacious and comfortable. A bit old and tired as there was quite a lot of wood in the overall structure of the room. The bathroom and toilet was separate. There was a standing shower as well as bath tub that had jacuzzi which actually works. There is a small pool at the roof top. Breakfast cafe is at the basement and had a buffet breakfast on the first morning. Food and spread was alright. The has several nespresso machines to make coffee, lots of fruits like sliced oranges which was very sweet and we liked that. The kitchen also took orders for eggs. Plenty of pastries, bread. The yoghurt was delicious. The spa and massages were highly recommended when we booked the hotel but our daliy schedule was really full and when we returned about the day's outing, the spa and massage center has already closed for the day. We stayed here for 3 nights. The only negative is that there is no wifi in the room, It is only available at the lobby and reading room. We are glad that we had a TV and could watch news - it was exciting times for Spain as Catalonia was pushing for independence. As mentioned, location was excellent, I did my morning runs to the Canal Seville Bonanza and along the river, crossing bridges and then looping back to the hotel. Overall, the hotel left a strong memorable impression for our trip because of all its unique character and charm. Still a thumbs up from us!
This room is not fit for guests. Where do I begin? First off it’s very expensive to stay here for what we got. Over $270.00 US DOLLARS. The mattress was lopsided and would toss me on the floor. Above me was a framed picture of a bird and MOLD. As well as the other pictures in the room water stained and moldy. The pillows I placed my head on smelled of a dirty head before me. As well as my husbands pillows. Gross. The shower had mold on everything. The pictures don’t do it justice! The staff at the front desk are rude. Other than that the hotel has a lot of potential. It’s super cool. Lots of outside spaces to get lost with tons of flowers and plants. That’s what brought us here was how unusual the hotel is. Do not stay in room 10 first floor. We didn’t get any natural light. Just a lamp outside our window that was it. The bedding and furniture is dirty and tired. Room needs a makeover big time. I hope this helps the next guest.
We reserved 2 standard rooms. We checked in early in the morning, our rooms weren’t available so we came back in the afternoon. We were taken to our respective rooms- 1 smelled dreadful & the other was tiny with no window but clean & didn’t smell. For the 2nd room they showed us 4 other rooms they either smelled of mold, some had no window, one was under the roof & you couldn’t stand in it. THE HOTEL MANAGEMENT AGREED THE STANDARD ROOMS OFFERED WERE NOT SUITABLE TO STAY IN. SO THEY PROPOSED THE SUITE (shown in the website photos). TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY THEY INSISTED WE PAY EXTRA FOR THIS ROOM EVEN THOUGH THEY COULD NOT OFFER US THE STANDARD ROOM WE HAD BOOKED. We had to then negotiate to reduce the extra fee for the suite to a lower amount. Their customer service was completely unprofessional & abysmal. Bottom line if you rent a suite you’ll be perfectly happy, if you book a standard it is dreadful.
