The room is quite compact and the facilities are quite basic, but considering costs in that neighbourhood, this was completely acceptable to us. It was clean [not squeaky clean] and comfortable, en suite. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a metro stop less than a 1 minute walk from the front door. Wifi reception in our room was good. Had to climb 3 floors to get to our room, might be a challenge for the elderly [esp after walking all over Paris]. Lots of great food options in that main street, vibrant place.
We got an amazing deal on this hotel, so much so that I was worried it was going to be awful - to our relief it was absolutely fine. The room isn't huge and the facilities are basic, but considering how cheap it was this was completely acceptable. It was clean and comfortable, en suite, TV with multiple channels (all in French), and our room was at the front overlooking a quiet street. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a metro stop less than a 1 minute walk from the front door too. We didn't have the breakfast there which looked basic, but there are plenty of options for food on rue Clichy nearby. The area is fairly working class, but we found it nice to stay in a more authentic part of Paris considering so many parts of the city are so prestigious. Wifi worked really well also by the way.
Nice hotel, staff very kind and helpfull. We stayed 7 nights in this hotel. Clean, the room was equipped with comfy beds, a small desk and wardrobe. Pretty good breakfast. Located 5 minutes walking distance from the metro station. Ideal for those are looking for essentials at a low price.
Very unfriendly host who change his attitude depend on the client. We were always polite but he kept to take on a cold attitude towards us. Even we said "Merci" or "Bonne journée", he never cared about us, just ignored very probably on purpose. This is the reason why I felt any comfort during the check-in, breakfast (just in front of the reception) or when I wanted to ask about the bad smell of room. But others employees who work for the reception during the night were friendly. The room smells very bad, like a toilet... There is an problem with water supply pipe, because when the rain start, the bad smell start and we couldn't avoid this smell even we kept the window open during whole night. Next day we asked one lady who cleaned our room about this problem, she was agree that this room stink and said maybe we can change the room, but finally they tried nothing for it. Only one power socket in the room was not convenient as well... Also I'm wondering why the host asked us to pay 8 euros as "tax" when we arrived, and the payment was accepted only in cash. I never paid tax in this way.
The staff was rude and didn't speak a word of English. Breakfast was really poor and there wasn't even a 'breakfast room' but only some little tables in front of the reception. The room was a single one but with a double bed so there wasn't space to move. Never again.
