Breakfast at the hotel. Morning visit to the Egyptian Museum, which is home to the largest collection of monuments from the Egypt of the pharaohs, as well as a room that includes treasures from the tomb of Tutankhamun. We will then visit the Khan el-Khalili souk, one of the most famous and oldest bazaars in the Arab world. The afternoon is free for optional excursions. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Visit to the temple of Luxor, in the heart of the city, and visit to the Temple of Karnak, one of the largest temples in the world. Lunch on board. Sail to Edfu, chance to see the Esna lock. Edfu - Kom Ombo - Aswan
Breakfast on board. Morning visit to the Temple of Horus, one of the best preserved in Egypt. Lunch on board and cruise towards Kom Ombo. Arrival and tour of the Kom Ombo temple, which holds interesting information about medicine and the politics of ancient society. Sail towards Aswan. Dinner on board. Night on board.

Breakfast on board. Morning at your leisure with optional return coach trip to the Abu Simbel temples (including picnic breakfast) and lunch on the boat. Onward to the Aswan High Dam, felucca cruise along the Nile. Dinner on board. Night on board.

Alexandria
Breakfast at hotel and transfer by road to Alexandria. Upon arrival, visit to Pompey's Pillar, which was built in honour of the Roman emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century. Onward to the Citadel of Qaitbay (with panoramic view), a huge defensive fortress built in 1480 by Sultan Qaitbay; the catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, from the 1st and 2nd centuries; and finally, the famous Library of Alexandria. Transfer to hotel and overnight stay.

Dive to the submerged Alexandria founded by Alexander the Great, the so-called City of a Thousand Palaces, and other legendary cities of the Canopic region of Egypt that sank under water and mud because the soil could not support the enormous weight of the sumptuous temples and buildings of the era, including Cleopatra's Palace, located in the mythical Portus Magnus of Alexandria, the largest centre of power in the world at that time. Important remarks
- Egypt is a Muslim country and the month of Ramadan is of major significance to its residents. During Ramadan, entertainment and alcohol will be restricted in most of the country. The sale of alcohol will be restricted in many places, although some establishments will offer alcohol for sale to tourists. During this period, local businesses may also have shorter opening hours.
- The tours include cultural stops at local workshops so you can learn about the production of traditional crafts.
- Mandatory payments and optional excursions are payable in cash once in Egypt.
- Triple rooms in Africa are generally rooms with twin beds or a double, in which a folding bed is installed to accommodate the third person. Due to the inconvenience this causes, we advise against using this option as far the possible.
- Please check which documents are required to enter the country.
- For the dive in Alexandria, you don't need an official licence or diving certificate, as it takes place at a maximum depth of 8 metres and the monitor will give a short introduction to diving course.
- A clean bill of health is needed to take part in the dive, though. If you're undergoing any type of treatment or suffering from any kind of illness, please let us know in advance or check with us whether it is completely safe for you to do the dive.
- Cruise on the Nile: The category that we publish corresponds to the official categorization of the authority of the Ministry of Tourism of Egypt. However, this category does not correspond, in most cases, to European quality standards.
- Mandatory payments at destination (service fees and/or general tips) must be paid in cash.
- If you arrive at the hotel in Cairo after 10.00 pm, a cold buffet dinner will be served.
- The order of the itinerary may be altered for logistical reasons, without prior notice, but no scheduled trips will be cancelled (except in the case that adverse weather conditions prevent its realisation).
- A credit card is considered a guarantee, so sometimes you will need one for check-in at hotels.
- Prices are calculated based on admission fees to the sights as of the date of publication. If there is an increase in these prices, you will be promptly informed.
