City of origin - San José
Departure with destination San José. Arrival, assistance and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay.
San José - Tortuguero National Park
Early morning pick-up from the hotel to head towards the east of the country. The drive will take us through the Braulio Carrillo National Park and down to the coast until we reach Guápiles, where a typical breakfast will be served. The route then goes off-road down to the river port, where we'll board a boat and set sail through this system of breathtaking natural waterways. Lunch and overnight stay at hotel. In the afternoon, a visit to the small town of Tortuguero is included. Dinner and overnight stay.
Tortuguero National Park
Full-board accommodation at the hotel. Several activities are planned for today, such as hiking and sailing on the National Park canals, where we'll be able to admire the amazing wildlife living here. The canals are flanked by towering verdant forests that are the habitat of rich and varied wildlife. This is the country's most iconic park, as well as being the most important spawning ground for huge sea turtles. The long, sprawling beaches attract baula, carey and green turtles to release their eggs. Carey turtles spawn in this area during the months of July to October, baulas from February to July, most frequently during April and May, and greens from July to October. Local hotels organise special trips to the beach during these months, led by specialist guides. This excursion is not included in the price. Dinner and overnight stay.
Tortuguero National Park - Arenal Volcano
Breakfast at the hotel and departure again to the port, sailing on route through the canals. Disembark and continue towards Guápiles. Lunch included. Continue to the city of La Fortuna, located on the slopes of the mountain range of Tilarán and at the foot of Arenal Volcano. Mid-afternoon arrival at the hotel. Rest of the afternoon free.
Arenal Volcano
Breakfast at hotel. Day at leisure to enjoy some of the many activities on offer here, such as canopy tours, horseback riding, hiking and rainforest excursions. The underground rivers emerge in the form of thermal springs and well, with several spa centres providing thalassotherapy and massages in a peaceful haven with the majestic volcano as a backdrop.
Arenal Volcano - Monteverde
Breakfast at hotel. Departure by road to Monteverde. The route runs along Lake Arenal and starts off by climbing a steep unpaved track that glides between the hills and valleys of the Tilarán mountain range, which are often enshrouded in mist or drizzle, and eventually reaches the hotel. Afternoon at leisure to have a look around the area. Overnight stay.
Monteverde
Breakfast at hotel and day at leisure. There are countless activities on offer here. The area is an ideal place for lovers of hiking and adventure sports. Certain parts are accessible by rope bridges to cross the dense vegetation. A must-do is ziplining (canopy tours), with exciting routes that make you feel like you're flying through the treetops. The main feature of these highland forests are the clouds that envelope them for most of the year.
Monteverde - Manuel Antonio
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning departure along the Pan-American Highway and from there down to the Pacific Ocean. Arrival. Overnight stay.

Important remarks

- Transfers from one area to another are collective with fixed hours.
- The Manuel Antonio National Park is closed on Tuesdays.
