In Prague, do not miss the Castle and the famous Charles Bridge, and when you get off the train in Budapest , the capital of Hungary and the most populous city, visit the Buda Castle and the Chain Bridge, among other highlights.

Travel details

Day 1: City of origin - Budapest

Departure with destination Budapest. Arrival at the airport and transfer to hotel by chauffeur. Overnight stay.

Day 2: Budapest

Breakfast. Hotel pick-up at 9.30 am for half-day tour of Budapest (approximately three hours). A multilingual driver/guide will collect you and take you to the Intercontinental Hotel for the start of the tour. We will make a route through the city. Starting off, we'll pass by Parliament and cross the Danube by bus over Margaret Bridge towards the Royal Castle in Buda, where we'll have time to take a short stroll around Fisherman's Bastion and Matthias Church. We'll then head up Gellért Hill (photo stop) to admire the stunning view over the whole city of Budapest. From here we'll cross Elisabeth Bridge on our way to Heroes' Square (time for walk around) on Andrassy Avenue. Passing by the Opera House and St. Stephen's Basilica, we'll be then get back to the Intercontinental Hotel, where the tour will end. The day of the tour will depend on your day of arrival and the transport operator. Overnight stay.

Day 3: Budapest

Breakfast. Free day to enjoy Budapest or to go on one of the optional excursions in Hungary. Overnight stay.

Day 4: Budapest - Prague

Breakfast. Transfer to the station and departure by train to Prague. Arrival, transfer to the hotel and accomodation. Rest of the day free to explore the city.

Day 5: Prague

Breakfast. Meet at 9.30 am at the Municipal House (Obecní Dům) Address: Náměstí Republiky 5. The half-day option will include a walking tour of the Old Town, the New Town and the Jewish Quarter. In the New Town, we'll see major landmarks such as Wenceslas Square, the Town Hall and the Powder Tower, to name just a few. We'll then stroll back to the Old Town Square, heart of the city home of the famous Astronomical Clock and Our Lady before Týn Church. We'll also get to see Karlova Street and Klementinum on our tour. A must-see is obviously Charles Bridge, one of Prague's icons. This unique stone bridge, commissioned by Charles IV during his reign, was for a long time the only link between the two parts of the city separated by the Vltava River. Lined by thirty-one Baroque statues, this Gothic bridge is about five hundred metres long and ten metres wide. The tour also includes a walk through the Jewish quarter, one of the best preserved in Europe. This is where we'll find the main synagogues, such as Staronova, Maysel, Klaus and Pinkas, and the old Jewish cemetery. The tour ends in the heart of the city. Rest of the day at leisure. The day of the tour will depend on your day of arrival and the transport operator. Accomodation.

Day 6: Prague

Breakfast. A free day to continue exploring the city at your leisure. Overnight stay.

Day 7: Prague - City of origin

After breakfast, free time until the prearranged time for transfer to the airport. Flight with destination the city of origin. Arrival. End of the trip and our services.

Important remarks

  • - Babies up to 2 years old in Hungary must share the bed with adults. In case you need a cot, or any other additional service, you will have to request it at each hotel and it will be a direct payment.
  • - Triple rooms in Europe are generally rooms with twin beds or a double, in which a folding bed is installed to accommodate the third person. Due to the inconvenience this causes, we advise against using this option as far the possible.
  • - During congresses and special events, the confirmed hotels and other accommodations may be different to those indicated.
  • - During the circuit by Europe, only one suitcase and one carry-on bag per person are allowed.
  • - Take careful note of the information you receive on arrival about the times and meeting points for the sightseeing tours and about train tickets, which will be delivered to you at your destination.
  • - The order of the itinerary may be altered for logistical reasons, without prior notice, but no scheduled trips will be cancelled (except in the case that adverse weather conditions prevent its realisation).
  • - A credit card is considered a guarantee, so sometimes you will need one for check-in at hotels.

Budapest

Budapest, also known as the "Pearl of the Danube", is the most important city in Hungary, but not the largest. Among its twenty three districts we can discover the Buda Castle, the Budapest Parliament Building, Gresham Palace and the magical Danube River. The city also has many urban green zones, however the Island of Margarita is considered by residents as the green heart of Budapest.

Prague

Prague is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. It is the fourteenth-largest city in the European Union It is also the historical capital of Bohemia proper. Situated in the north-west of the country on the Vltava river. The city has atemperate oceanic climate, with warm summers and chilly winters. Prague is home to a number of famous cultural attractions, many of which survived the violence and destruction of 20th century Europe. Main attractions include the Prague Castle, the Cjarles Bridge, Old Town Square, the Jewish Quarter, the Lennon Wall, and Petrin hill. Since 1992, the extensive historic centre of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. The city boasts more than ten major museums, along with numerous theatres, galleries, cinemas, and other historical exhibits. A modern public transportation system connects the city.
