Fuerteventura, also known as "the beach island", is a fascinating place full of serene beauty, a volcanic past, and deep-rooted traditions with an always ongoing charming seafaring air. With more than three thousand hours of sun a year, incredible moving dunes, 93 miles of beautiful beaches of fine sand, intense blue waters… The climate in the island fascinates all travellers and leaves no one indifferent.
Filled with picturesque landscapes and marked by pronounced contrasts, Fuerteventura combines areas of tourist activity with lifelong traditional fishing villages and unspoilt corners in which time stops and silence seems to invade everything. A silence that takes us away from the day to day life and reminds us that Fuerteventura is a land of legend and reality, an oasis lost in the middle of the Atlantic. A paradise for lovers of water sports and adventure, the island is known as the "European Hawaii" for its amazing waves, some of the most famous in Europe. Also an ideal destination for family holidays, Fuerteventura has been declared a Starlight Reserve and Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, categories reserved for the most important environmental areas on the planet. A must.
Fuerteventura is an ideal destination to enjoy the sun and the sea all year round thanks to its warm temperatures and its 3,000 hours of sunlight. Its proximitly to the Sahara desert and the absence of high mountains make possible a mild climate that remains unchanging throughout the year and in which rainfall is rare. The water temperature, which oscillates between 19ºC and 24ºC, will allow you to enjoy a refreshing bath also during the winter months.

Fuerteventura is a land of legend and history. To understand its origins we have to go back thirty million years, when the continuous underwater volcanic eruptions created the foundations of this beautiful island. Seven million years later, the earth would begin to emerge. The weather, the erosion and the trade winds would finish giving shape to this precious whim of Nature. It is not yet known with certainty who were the first inhabitants of the Island, nor how they managed to reach it. Some say the first inhabitants of Fuerteventura were of Berber roots and that they called it Mahon Island (my country). And it is precisely this the origin of the name "majorero", name with which its inhabitants are known today. This is just one of the thousand stories that will accompany you during the trip. You can get to know them all. Friendly and good conversationalists, the majoreros will tell you how in the Islote de Lobos, now a Natural Park, the fifteenth century navigators were amazed by the number of monk seals that inhabited it. In Fuerteventura, you will learn to decode the traces of the past. Discover the inscriptions and engravings of the ancient settlers; the stately homes, charming churches, lighthouses and mills of the colonial heritage; its modern open-air sculptural parks; its art and culture museums; its festivals and theatrical performances; his pilgrimages, festivals ... Fuerteventura, much to see and live.
